TRIANON Frankfurt

Managed mandate

TRIANON Frankfurt:
an iconic part of the skyline

The high-rise building in the heart of Frankfurt’s banking district was built in 1992/93 and has a total floor area of around 68,000 square metres. A team of experts from the KanAm Grund Group was managing the 186-meter tower until 2024. During this time, we initiated comprehensive repositioning, introduced value-enhancing measures and achieved sustainable certification.

Repositioning: ‘Tower of Inspiration’

The new profile of the striking high-rise building is visible at first glance in the redesigned lobby.

Additional initiatives were conceptualized. This includes a future roof terrace, which is unique in such a central location. Further plans were drawn up for the culinary offerings and the outdoor area to be redesigned and made more user-friendly.

Comprehensive sustainability concept

All initiatives were based on a comprehensive sustainability concept, which also formed the basis for the platinum classification by the DGBN. The renovation and construction work in the building followed the LEED guideline (from September 2023/DGNB guideline). Construction companies must comply with these regarding the building materials, waste disposal and indoor air quality during the construction work.

Top certifications for sustainability

The Trianon was only the second building to be certified to the platinum standard by the DGNB for ‘Buildings in operation’. With an overall fulfilment rate of 83.9%, it took first place. In addition, WiredScorePlatinum certification will be awarded in 2022: Thanks to best-in-class connectivity and full transparency in the digital infrastructure. The KanAm Grund Group team of experts supported the certification processes.
