In early February, Liangjing Walter took over as Head of the Financing/Treasury department at KanAm Grund Group.
In this role, she is responsible for further developing and implementing the company’s financing strategy. In addition to overseeing the financing of the real estate portfolio, her focus areas include the strategic management of existing banking relationships and the acquisition of new financing partners, both in Germany and abroad.
Liangjing Walter has been with KanAm Grund Group since November 2023, most recently serving as Senior Manager Financing/Treasury. Prior to that, she worked for Branicks Group AG (formerly DIC Asset AG) in Frankfurt as Senior Finance Manager Corporate Finance. She has nearly 20 years of experience in commercial real estate financing.
Walter began her career in the “International Real Estate Financing” trainee program at Aareal Bank AG in Wiesbaden. She subsequently worked for Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB (SEB) for several years—among other roles, in Real Estate Finance in Frankfurt and Warsaw—most recently as Client Associate for international and domestic real estate clients.
She studied law at the University of Konstanz and Ruprecht-Karls-University Heidelberg, completing her legal clerkship (Referendariat) in Essen. In addition to her legal education, she earned the professional degree Real Estate Economist (EBS) from EBS University of Business and Law while working full time.
