As part of the revitalization of the Laksegade district in Copenhagen, led by KanAm Grund Group in partnership with Thylander A/S, the first Four Seasons Hotel in Scandinavia will be developed. The project occupies one of the city’s most architecturally significant sites — directly on Kongens Nytorv.

The hotel will be housed in several historic buildings whose architectural details will be preserved and restored in accordance with heritage guidelines. In this way, the project combines the conservation of urban quality with a new, diverse form of use.
The site covers around 50,000 square metres and lies in close proximity to Nyhavn, the Royal Danish Theatre, the National Bank and the Danish Parliament. The first construction phase, comprising office and retail spaces, has been underway since March 2026; in the second phase, the hotel with around 100 rooms will be developed.

“The KanAm Grund Group is delighted to welcome Four Seasons to the Laksegade district. This historic area looks back on more than 400 years of history – for the past 150 years, it has largely been shaped by financial institutions and closed to the public. By combining our responsibility for these historically and culturally significant buildings with the expertise of Four Seasons in creating exceptional guest experiences, we are reopening the Laksegade district to the citizens of Copenhagen, to Denmark and to international visitors. In doing so, we are setting a new benchmark for mixed‑use urban quarters in Scandinavia,” says Anthony G. Bull‑Diamond, Managing Director of KanAm Grund Group.
